I just briefly wanted to summarize our accomplishments last month, which started off the ’08-’09 school year:
- 52 Men Rushed, 30 Pledged thanks to every Brother’s hard work, especially Brothers Sambuca and Wyner.
Pike: 18 Pledged
SigEp: 11 Pledged
ADP: 11 Pledged
AKS: 13 Pledged
- Brought Norm Macdonald for our 6th Annual Comedy Show, while collaborating with Delta Zeta Sorority thanks to Brother Bourne.
- Two social events at third party vendors with the women of Delta Phi Epsilon and Delta Zeta Sororities thanks to Brother’s Hughes, Viccaro and Brem.
- Initiated 33 Men as part of the Bentley Installation. Thank you to all of those who attended, Brothers Slavin and Potter for organizing, and Brother Ranley for proving why he is a Master of the Ritual.
- Two Greater Cause Events at the Mission Hill Road Race and Breast Cancer Walk thanks to Brother Ucuz. Outstanding performances by our Intramural Teams, thanks to the leadership of Brother Avery.
- $600 in Fundraising thanks to Brothers Adams and Reagan.
- A Plug by the President of the University, Joseph Aoun in regards to our Stony Brook Carnival.
I just wanted to let you know that you all should be proud to be part of the best thing on campus. I sure as hell know I am.
